Our chapter holds two formal meetings per month. We meet on the first Thursday and third Tuesday from 7:15 to 9:30 p.m. at New Horizons Annes in Apex. Meeting topics cover personal growth, professional growth, consciousness raising, parenting issues, and much more!

At least one night a month it's Mom's turn to step out! Whether we take in a movie, eat at a restaurant, play board games, or just hang out, it gives all of the mothers in our group an opportunity to take a much-needed break.

Subgroups

As the chapter grows we will form various subgroups based on member interest. Subgroups will usually meet once per month. Seasoned Moms, Chick Flicks, and the Book Club are some of the subgroups already formed.

Kids Outings

Several times a month our members and their children gather to tour, play, eat, and learn at area attractions. Possible outings include fire station tours, lunch at the park, Bullwinkle's, museums, and seasonal parties. Some of the activities may include a small fee. Please RSVP so we can notify you of any changes in dates, time, and locations.

Playgroups

Looking for a weekly scheduled play date for you and your child? Most of our playgroups meet outdoors when the weather cooperates. Once you've joined Mothers and More, contact the Playgroup Director for more information.

Family Outings

Each month one family outing is planned. Activities include annual picnics, ice cream socials, bowling, ice-skating, and zoo excursions. All members are welcome to attend, with or without, their spouse. For more information contact the Social Director.

Care Committee

The care committee was created to support members in times of need. When a member expresses a need, Member volunteers are contacted to provide a meal, respite childcare and/or to run necessary errands.

Community Service

Each year the chapter selects at least one community service project. Possible projects include food drives, back-to-school supply collections, book drives, relays, walk-a-thons, whatever the members of the chapter decide upon. Giving back to the community has always been an important part of Mothers & More. For more information contact the Outreach and Advocacy Director.

Lending Library

A free service offered just for the members at each meeting. The library contains books on topics of interest to mothers, including pregnancy and baby care, child development, women's issues and self-help, and of course, motherhood. Each book/video may be checked out for up to one month. There is a checkout limit of two books per member. Donations welcome.

Chapter Calendar

The chapter calendar includes upcoming meeting topics, dates, locations, and times, of outings along with the subgroup schedules. Copies of the calendars are available at the meetings and are posted on the website.
